The Post Work-Out

So yes! I do go out sometimes and like to have a good time. So for those of us that end up feeling a bit woozy the next day, sweating it out and getting your blood flowing is a great cure. This was my work-out yesterday: At Ballys =)

1. Stretch

2. 40 sit ups on the bench

3. The treadmill for 30 minutes. My goal here is to sweat. I was dreading doing cardio but this is the only way for me to cure my hangover. -  So I walked on incline (8.0) for five minutes - brought the inline down to 2.0 and jogged at speed of 5.4 for fifteen minutes. If was feeling pretty confident, so I raised the incline to 4.0 every five minutes or so and jogged at the same speed for one minute. Then brought it back down. So far that's 20 minutes total! Now for the next 10 minutes I did sprints. This is where I really break a sweat! I took the speed to 6.7 and sprinted until I was running out of breath - bring the speed back down a bit - rest - now sprint again!  30 minutes is up. Oh my I feel great!

4. I then did an incline leg press machine to hit my major muscle group. Two sets of 15.  Your thighs are a major muscle group that generate the most heat.

5. More sit- ups... Hit those abs! We all hear about the Americans ever-expanding waistline. Smaller waistline = healthier you!

6. I then went to the assisted Pull up bar. I weigh 125 and I put 70 lbs of help. Lighter weight and more reps give us a toner look. More weight and less reps give guys that muscle they are looking for.

7. Then a few more sit-ups. keep in mind you can squeeze sit-ups in anytime you're resting between sets. Even during commercial breaks!

And don't forget to stretch before, between, and after your work-outs. Also make sure you cool down after your cardio work-out as well. Your body will love you for it.

So I just hit all the major muscle groups of my body after a great cardio work-out. Now I'm ready to go home and shower.... I don't know about you, but I love to eat junk-food after a night out. It's okay though! I deserve it on this day.

Feel free to ask me any helpful tips for your next work-out. I been doing this for years and my brother is a Powerlifter. He got first place in the worlds dead-lift. So I'm credible!

Women are Unique

Sometimes as women we go through changes that we can't explain, and we wonder if anyone else is also having the same issue. As I was reading USA Weekend I found some very interesting information for all the ladies out there...... Including myself! Now I know why =) As I do and I'm sure others do as well; I'm looking at my cell phone as I'm laying in bed before falling asleep. Well not anymore! ..... As women we need to wind down because bright lights can suppress the sleep hormone- Melatonin- which makes us more alert and a good night's rest is vital for us. What I do now is put my texts on silent and set my alarm before I get ready for bed. I won't look at it until the next morning and yes! I actually do feel more rested.   When we're tired or have low energy it usually has an effect on how we treat the ones that are closest to us. (our spouse for example) It triggers tension.  But what's interesting - when guys don't get adequate sleep it doesn...

Request

Hello, Sorry for the inconvenience. I need to get an eBay gift card for my nephew, it's his birthday but I can't do this now because I'm seriously ill and my doctor said I should stay indoors for some reason. I have tried to purchase it online but unfortunately no luck with that, can you get it from any local store around you or at the grocery store or help me order online? I'll reimburse you as soon as possible. Let me know if you can handle this. Shelly Lipanovich

daily health routine

Good morning to all and hope everyone is having a great week.  This morning I think about my health and how I've changed my food choices, and about others making better choices as well. I was recently telling a friend about the Alkaline plant based diet as a path to optimal health. It really is if you think about it. It contains natural foods that are not hybridized or re-created by man, therefore it contains the original nutrients needed for optimal health. The original cell structures of the plant. Seeded melons and fruits are more nutrient dense, the seeds give off minerals within the fruit, therefore increasing our health. So why are they making fruits seedless? (that's another topic) Incorporate herbs, which is even more important, to complete a good plan. Herbs provide us with even more nutrients and minerals that many 'vegans' can be  low on. I do have a few people that question my nutrient intake. But little do they know... So I thought a good post for T...
